David Atkinson

David Atkinson, founder of David Atkinson Lighting Design (DALD), is an award-winning lighting designer with over three decades of international experience. Named Lighting Designer of the Year at the UK Lighting Design Awards, David has spent more than 30 years crafting innovative, award-winning architectural lighting schemes. His unique approach is deeply informed by his early career in theatre, film, music, and fashion. A graduate of the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA), David worked extensively in television and commercial production before transitioning to architectural design. Today, he remains actively engaged across these diverse creative disciplines and is a frequent speaker at international industry events.
